Parker was born in a small town in northeastern Oregon, U.S. and grew up on the northern shores of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She graduated from a high school located on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. She spent several months living in Europe before beginning her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in the Spring of 2016. Parker will graduate with her AAS degree in the Fall of 2018. In 2020, she will graduate with her Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Sports Wear and a minor in Art History.

She is an artist and aspiring costume designer with a passion for costumes, theatre, and film. She has extensive knowledge of Fashion and Costume History, and the Theatre Arts.

While growing up in Mexico, she was involved in children’s theatre. She was classically trained in the fine arts upon her return to the United States. She spent three years interning with a costume designer in Washington state, making synchronized skating dresses as well as performance dresses for ballroom and opera. She has also volunteered for the Island Shakespeare Festival on Whidbey Island.

While volunteering for the Shakespeare festival her experience included working backstage, as well as working as an usher. This summer she was hired as the assistant costume designer and head of wardrobe for a production in Greenwich village of ‘The Workshop’ written by Torrey Townsend and directed by Knud Adams.

Theatre is constantly moving. It is fluid. Theatre is not an exclusive industry. People with different interests and abilities can join together and create a work of art that can be shared on the world stage. Her passion lies in the costumes. She believes that costumes play a vital part in the role of the actors. Parker strives to take care of the character’s performance through the costumes.

Her experience in the fashion industry allows her to work efficiently under deadlines, and remain calm and collected under pressure. She can work quickly to restore costumes and works best with people with like-minded interests.
