About

Parker graduated May, 2020 from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York with her BFA degree in Fashion Design with a specialization in Sportswear and a minor in Art History. She is an artist and New York based Costume Designer with a passion for history, storytelling, theatre, and film. She has a background in Fine Arts and experience in Costume Design for Theatre.

Her experience with Costumes include multiple positions as Head of Wardrobe, Assistant Costume Designer, and Costume Designer for several theater productions. The first production she worked on was ‘The Workshop’ written by Torrey Townsend and directed by Knud Adams. In the spring of 2019 she was hired as the Costume Designer and Wardrobe Supervisor for a production of ‘The Franca Rame Project’ directed by Zishan Ugurlu. Since then, she has interned with several New York designers, including Leanne Marshall, bridal and special occasion designer. She also interned for the New York based costume shop, Eric Winterling Inc. where she worked on constructing costumes for the stage and the screen.

Parker believes that the art of film and theatre is constantly moving, it is fluid. Art is not an exclusive industry. People with different interests, backgrounds, and abilities can join together and create a work of art that can be shared on the world stage. Her passion lies in storytelling. She recently opened an Atelier featuring her handmade works of jewelry design, accessories, art prints, and soon her clothing line.
